Mortlake Bowls Club hosted the Frank Carter Perpetual Trophy Open Mixed Fours last Saturday, 5th November.
Approximately 37 players played on a very challenging, windy day. The three games of 8 ends, was just enough to whet the appetite for bowls, but also allow enough fun and frivolity to be had.
At the end of the day, the Mortlake RSL was the beneficiary and proceeds from the day went to the great work that they do and have done already. The efforts raised close to $900 for the Mortlake RSL and a great day was had by all.
The winners for the day were M Heard, P Palmer, A van Diemen and G MacDonald.
The runners up for the day were R van Diemen, D Caudle and D Jervies.
And the race to the bottom is also fun with P Beardsley, G Kenna, M Kenna & D Grant graciously accepting the award.
Mortlake RSL Day is a fantastic day and a great way to support a great organisation and is a pleasure to host every year.
