On Tuesday the 11th and Thursday, the 13th of October, the WDBD Over 60’s Singles Championship was held at Terang BC.

For the Men, Alan Wentworth gave it a fair crack, making his way into the Quarter Finals. Only to be defeated by Hank Pelgrim 21-14. A great effort Red, better luck next time.

For the Women, Val Smith put her hand up to have a crack at the title.
On the Tuesday, Val made it to the quarter finals and played M Drennan first up. Val won 21-20 in a close game.
Val returned Thursday in the Semi Finals and played K Dycer in another hard fought match for Val, winning 21-20.
In the other Semi Final, J Meade won over B Fleming 21-18.

The final was set – Val Smith to play Jenny Meade from Terang.
In the end, Val Smith walked away with the Championship 21-7.
